In the centre of Alghero, a few steps from Lido beach, the refurbished Hotel Giardino La Playa welcomes its guests with its reserved and intimate atmosphere. Completely renovated in 2025, today it is an adult only hotel, designed for those who are looking for a calm space with attention to detail but still walking distance from the beach and close enough to lively Alghero.
The garden, redesigned by the architect Bruno Concas, is the real star: a unique green oasis, a quiet space with a pool surrounded by mediterranean plants, perfect for relaxing and taking it easy. The nature which welcomes you at the entrance is also seen in the interior spaces thanks to the dialogue between plants, materials, colours and furnishing accessories designed by Mara Damiani. In fact, the designer from Cagliari has created an entire line dedicated to the Hotel, inspired by the Mediterranean aromatic shrubs and plants found in the garden.
The bright and intimate rooms, all have private balconies where you can enjoy a view of the garden or watch the daily life of Alghero go by. Inside the hotel, a breakfast room overlooking the pool and a bar open all day complete the experience.
The hotel does not have a private car park. In the summer months the area is quite lively and crowded. Luckily Alghero is easy to explore on foot or by bicycle along the seafront, port and through the narrow streets in the centre, without needing a car. Close by you can find bus stops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars and open spaces to do sport and to experience the city in total freedom.
